GLOBAL PRO GALLERY
Interestingly, the Lamborghini #78 is driven by a good friend of mine Rob Collard, who I have covered over many years and last year drove an Olympus sponsored car! Naturally, these cars are incredibly fast and catching them full frame demands the highest levels of autofocus and stabilisation available. With the E-M1 Mark III and the M.Zuiko Digital ED 150-400mm F4.5 TC1.25x IS PRO, I never had a moments cause for concern even at 1000mm (35mm equiv.) as here. It is quite simply brilliant, even at the highest speeds and critical moments.

With over 30 years experience as a professional photographer, OLYMPUS Ambassador Mike Inkley works primarily in the field of motorsport photography. Covering F1, Touring Cars, Moto GP, etc. His images have been used by most of the leading TV channels and UK national papers. In addition to having in excess of 5,000 published images, he writes about motorsport and has had over 1,500 published articles. He has also shoots cricket, a multitude of different location and wildlife work as well as military aviation for the UK Defence Journal.
Mike’s first experience of presenting was at The Photography Show last year. He passed on his experiences of shooting with the OLYMPUS OM-D E-M1 in his ‘You can’t do this with a small sensor’ seminar, wowing the audience with his images and blowing away many preconceptions about image quality from a crop sensor.
One of his favourite images is not his most dynamic, but was certainly the hardest to shoot. Last year he was in Glencoe on the snow fields doing some landscape work when he spotted a small group of wild red deer does in one of the valleys and decided to trek after and see if he could get a shot of them. After over an hour of hard climbing and skirting around through the trees he managed to catch them on a bracken ridge line, with ideal light and the snow fields of the mountains behind. His E-M1 and 40-150mm f2.8 PRO lens really delivered the goods.
